The brand name , 'omo' is inspired from two words: 'omocha' and 'omoshiroi' - the former being the Japanese word for toys, while the latter refers to the Japanese word for interesting. Housing a strong sense of nostalgia, the brand takes inspiration from the toys most Singaporeans played with during their childhood.

"The human mind loves to find things to stress about." In today's fast paced society, people have grown to become very stressed up and often overthink; forgetting how it feels like to be worry-free. Hence, toys became the main element of the brand's representation of childhood as we believe the time we were playing with them as children was the most carefree period of our lives.   ​
